Carpenter (Rough/Finish)
Type: 1099/Subcontract • Area: Greater St. Louis (MO/IL) • Reports to: Superintendent / PM
Overview
Deliver framing through finish carpentry with clean tolerances and homeowner‑ready workmanship. Coordinate with other trades, protect finishes, and close punchlists to zero.
Responsibilities
Rough carpentry: framing, blocking, structural repairs per plan/engineer notes
Finish carpentry: doors, casing, base, rails, shelves, built‑ins, cabinetry install
Field measurements, cut lists, accurate takeoffs; hardware and trim details
Surface protection, dust control, daily tidy in occupied homes
Identify scope variances/hidden damage; request change orders; document in ClickUp
Photo documentation in CompanyCam; assist with inspections when needed
Requirements
4+ years carpentry (rough & finish); own tools/vehicle
Able to read plans, elevations, and manufacturer specs
Meticulous fit/finish; scribe, cope, miter proficiency; fastener and adhesive know‑how
Preferred
Bilingual (EN/ES), RRP, OSHA‑10; small crew leadership
KPIs
Quality/tolerance benchmarks; low rework rate
Schedule adherence and coordination with trades
Documentation completeness and client satisfaction
Pay & Terms
Unit rate, T&M, or PO per scope; ACH/Card; Net‑7 after approved close‑out
