Handyman Tech I (HM1 – Tasks)
Type: 1099 Contractor • Area: Greater St. Louis (MO/IL) • Reports to: Field Ops Lead / Project Manager

Legendary Services Co. (LSC) is a residential services & small‑project GC firm. We run tight scopes, communicate clearly, and pay on time. We use ClickUp for job tickets/scheduling and CompanyCam for photo documentation. Safety and homeowner experience come first; permits are pulled when required.
Role Snapshot
Start on our task‑based tickets and grow into larger scopes. You’ll perform basic installs and minor fixes with clean workmanship, clear updates, and same‑day photo close‑outs.
Responsibilities
Assemble/install: shelves, blinds, curtain rods, TV mounts, furniture
Minor repairs: caulk, touch‑up paint, small drywall patches (<4”), hardware swaps
Like‑for‑like swaps (non‑permitted): faucets/showerheads, light fixtures, locks
Site protection and daily tidy; customer check‑ins and walk‑throughs
Document before/during/after in CompanyCam; submit clean notes in ClickUp
Flag scope changes, code/permitting triggers, or hidden damage for approval
Requirements
1–2 years of residential maintenance/handyman work
Customer‑facing communication; punctual, respectful, coachable
Own tools/ladder and reliable vehicle; smartphone with data plan
Basic measurement, fasteners, anchors, and safe ladder usage
Nice to Have
EPA RRP (lead‑safe), OSHA‑10, bilingual (EN/ES), GL insurance
KPIs (How success is measured)
First‑time fix rate; schedule adherence and on‑time arrival
Photo/documentation completeness; low callback rate
Homeowner CSAT/NPS; tidy site and damage‑free work
Pay & Terms
Ticket‑based compensation or PO per scope; ACH/Card
Standard terms: Net‑7 after approved close‑out and invoice with Job/PO #
Tools & Systems
ClickUp (tickets, notes, checklists), CompanyCam (photos), Google Drive (files)
Growth Path
HM1 → HM2 (multi‑trade services) → Lead Handyman/Small‑Project GC → Superintendent/PM
