Handyman Tech II (HM2 – Services)
Type: 1099 Contractor • Area: Greater St. Louis (MO/IL) • Reports to: Field Ops Lead / Project Manager
About the Role
You’re a multi‑trade finisher who can own small service tickets end‑to‑end: light carpentry, drywall/paint blends, fixture swaps, and minor tile/flooring repairs. You protect finishes, communicate clearly, and deliver tidy, code‑aware work.
Responsibilities
Light carpentry: trim repair, base/casing install, minor door/window adjustments
Drywall: patches (>4”), tape/mud/texture matching; paint prep and finish
Like‑for‑like swaps (non‑permit): faucets, disposals, toilets, light fixtures, fans
Minor tile re‑grout/re‑caulk; small flooring repairs and transitions
Materials pickups within caps; receipts/notes in ClickUp; photos in CompanyCam
Identify scope variances, hidden damage, and permit triggers; request change orders
Requirements
3+ years multi‑trade residential experience at finish quality
Own tools/vehicle; safe ladder handling; dust control and surface protection
Read/execute written scopes and create small cut lists; basic code awareness
Smartphone proficiency; punctual and professional on occupied sites
Preferred
Small‑ticket estimating; bilingual (EN/ES); GL insurance; RRP or OSHA‑10
KPIs
Low rework/callback rate; high CSAT/NPS
Scope adherence and proper change‑order capture
Documentation completeness and schedule reliability
Pay & Terms
Ticket/PO‑based; ACH/Card
Standard terms: Net‑7 after approved close‑out and invoice with Job/PO #
Growth Path
HM2 → Lead Handyman/Small‑Project GC → Superintendent or Estimator/PM track
